Nancy J. Tourgis was called to the Bar in the Province of Ontario in 1995 after attending Osgoode Hall Law School and articling with Solmon Rothbart Tourgis Slodovnick LLP. Nancy has a developed a litigation practice that includes shareholder and partnership disputes, debt collection and real estate litigation. She has co-authored a number of articles on practice and advocacy topics. Some of the noteworthy decisions which Nancy has been involved in include Watkin v. Open Window Bakery Limited [1996] O.J. No. 894, Elfe Juvenile Products v. Bern [1993] O.J. No. 2241, Superior Propane Inc. v. United York Inc.[1999] O.J. No. 2974, Dimanis v. Yannakis[1998] O.J. No. 2352, Almad Investments Ltd. v. Mister Leonard Holdings Ltd. [1996] O.J. No. 4074 and Michaels Engineering Consultants Canada Inc. v. 961111 Ontario Limited et al 29 O.R. (3d) 273. Nancy is responsible for Solmon Rothbart Tourgis Slodovnick LLP’s articling students and education.
